First Day

Before light or sky,

God speaks into the endless—

light answers His word.

Second Day

Waters pull apart,

a vast expanse stretches wide—

the deep learns the sky.

Third Day

Oceans fold away,

bare earth rises, drinks the rain—

green breaks through the soil.

Fourth Day

A burning wheel wakes,

cooler lights take up their watch—

night learns how to glow.

Fifth Day

Wings cut through the air,

shadows flick through the deep—

the waters start to teem.

Sixth Day

Dust shaped into breath,

beasts roam over yielding ground—

eyes open, aware.

Seventh Day

No wind, no command,

the world rests in what is made—

nothing left to form.
