The Arrival

The Light Dawn leaks through the dark,
a thin line across the floor—
night loosens its grip.
The Savior Quiet room at dusk,
sleep holds her as light draws near—
breath stirs in the dark.
Infant King “No room,” the door shuts—
rough boards, breath in winter air,
hay warms fragile cries.
Immanuel Fire breaks the hills,
shepherds shield their startled eyes—
glory fills the sky.
Wise Men A slow-burning star,
worn feet follow foreign dust—
treasures bow in their hands.
The Escape Boots pound through the streets,
mothers wail in shattered homes—
one child slips the night.
Eternal Life Stone rolled from the mouth,
linen rests where silence lay—
death answers His word.
